Deltaflow and deltaflow C pitot tubes are continuously developed since years and are used for flow measurement of gases, steam and liquids. The products are developed by sytstec together with different third party partners for example the Fraunhofer Institute or university of Erlangen.

 

The special probe profile ensures highest process capability and highest accuracy, even under extreme conditions with minimum pressure loss. This is in particular beneficial for compressed air flow measuremets.
The measurement principle is also explained on Wikipedia. The deltaflow and the deltaflow C are -in contradiction to thermal mass flow meters- insensistive to oil films or rust particles, which are typical for pressurized air flow meter applications. Thermal mass flow meters have a tremendous drift under such conditions, the deltaflow pitot tube will not be affected at all from such surface fowling.
